Training & Assessment

Fork Truck Driver Training and Medium Rigid Truck driver Training is carried out by qualified training and assessors, both at FTS premises and on clients site.

In excess of 1000 persons were either trained and assessed or assessed only, as competent operators since July 05.

FTS also conducts refresher training and supervisor training at either FTS site or clients' site. Refresher training will enable a of review current driving techniques, reinforce good driving practices and reduce the incidence of 'accidents'.

Supervisor training is designed for the purposes of outlining the safety requirements associated with the operation of fork lift trucks in Tasmanian workplaces in order to anticipate and avoid accidents. Also to ensure both the employer and employee understand their legal obligations to ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
